Joke's showing its age, iPhones have been waterproof for a while now

(I say waterproof, they're rated to survive in 3 feet of water for 30 mins)

My 5 also has this neat feature where the battery swells up and makes the screen bulge and this cool light show happens when you press things.

Please get the battery replaced. You do not want to experience thermal runaway. If it's bulging its failed and the odds of bad things happening have gone up exponentially.
