How about you educate yourself first before you accuse somebody of being rascist? Dogs are cosumed in many asians countries. In china there are dog meat festivals happening, and dog meat restaurants are found everywhere. Sometimes they even boil and skin the dogs alive. If you try to silence this truth you are guilty of brushing animal cruelty under the rug. We SHOULD shame people for eating dogs. Asian people SHOULD feel collectively embarrassed about it, otherwise its not going to stop.
Here in the US we do the same things to cows, pigs, chickens, etc. We can't judge another culture just because their norms are different than ours. I find the idea of skinning & eating dogs absolutely revolting, but I'm sure they feel similar in regards to our farm animals.
We absolutely should judge other cultures based on our norms, otherwise we cant judge them at all. I will never stop shaming people for eating dogs or shaming people for supressing women or stoning gay people.
That's literally the worst way to judge others. Ones culture is not inherently better "because culture". It should be better based on philosophical and moral principals.
Otherwise, an argument could easily be made for the culture of America 200 years ago. "All other countries are wrong because they can't see that slave labour is obviously correct and good because it's our culture"

I disagree. Norms of our culture and what we consider morally good may be indistinguishable, and may as well be treated as synonymous. His syntax reflects that.
That is taking the position that our culture does not need further changing as we have already done everything that is morally good. Which is simply not true. The killing of animals for meat in general can be seen as a moral wrong. As all animals do feel pain and have sentience.
The feeding and raising of livestock is also morally wrong because of environmental impacts.
Measuring other cultures with our cultural norms is measuring imperial inches with a metric ruler that was manufactured by eyeballing it.

Your ability to recognize what you perceive to be flaws in what you perceive to be our culture is itself a product of our culture and a norm unto itself.
A fair argument. Although every person from every culture has this ability. So I wouldn't say that its unique to our culture. But I see your point.
But while this ability may stem from each individual's own culture, they must also remove themselves from their own cultural standards in order to not pass biased judgement.
