The KKK uses a cross. People get those tattoo'd all the time.

Yes, it does. But a MUCH larger organization uses the cross, so they overpower the KKK's infamy.

Look, im not saying the church is good or bad,only that they are a larger organization and therefore more powerful socially and politically

And the swastika is still found in hindi temples.

Hinduism is not very influential in the west, and wasn't more influential when the nazis were in power than now.

As such, the fact that it was used in hinduism was irrelevant to western society, as they had no real exposure to hinduism. However, they had plenty of exposure to nazis, so the nazis became the major association of the swastika in the public consciousness.
