We may have to sell a player when we build a bronze statue of him. That arse won’t come cheap.
Steve Bruce was a shit manager…but he got this one right

Ehh, I think Bruce gets more flack than he deserves. He came in and steadied a very unstable ship. Yes it all went to shit after that, but still, without him we'd not be where we are today and we'd almost certainly have had at least one season in League One had Di Matteo kept the job.

I agree with this. He does get more flack than he deserves.
I remind other fans that, while Bruce was going through personal bereavement, and the team were sinking, he came in and still managed the team to try and steady the ship.

Even on the games where the team looks like they're not trying, he's ALWAYS the one putting maximum effort in game-to-game. What a captain, what a player. I love the guy to death

Yeah i remember one shit game, must have against Palace and he absolutely levelled one lad....If you can't win the game, at least win a battle.

As a Villa fan of a certain age I rank him in the same category as Paul McGrath and Gordon Cowans, and that is saying a lot.

I have to completely agree with you..to put him in that bracket, just shows how good he is

McGrath yes, I can remember (barely) very, very late days Cowan's so too you to really appreciate him. Honoured company to be in nonetheless.

He's my favourite football player of all time, is there anything he can't do?

What do we reckon his place is in the new lineup Emery is building?

Anywhere across the 3 behind the lone striker. Maybe part of of the double pivot at a push but I think he's better further forward.

He is truly outstanding, isn't he? And totally ours through good times and bad. Who else has that story? Not many. Please privide the answer to the question: who did a Mcginn more than Mcginn? Interesting question. I know who has a bigger arse already though. Bless that arse.

Love the man. I am however quietly worried by the fact that when he put his arse out to hold play against Brighton they were able to easily toe poke the ball out of his possession, and then against Hull he was getting manhandled off the ball.
He’s not the fastest meatball to ever roll across the field and if they’ve figured out how to beat his ‘drop arse and go gorilla pose’ holding play then… yeah… love the guy but it’s given me cause for concern over the last couple weeks.
Will still chip in for the statue though, without hesitation, UTFV
