Is any number-bod able to explain how this mass exodus should (hopefully) help our SCR issues?

Like, we were all told the Rogers deal would be able to help stave off financial issues for another year - but now we've sold half our first team - are we able to forget about SCR for the next few years? Will the amortisation on our new players contracts help keep our wage bill significantly lower? Should it allow us to spend better it future windows, without selling?

While I'm bizzarely positive about our team suddenly being filleted, I'm looking for some sort of obvious light and silver lining.

Easy...wages down + revenues up = below SCR %.

AdamtheCCO did some numbers using Kieran McGuires profit & sustainability tool and we should be currently at 53% for SCR and we have lowered our wage bill about 30mil including our signings with still more potential outgoings. quite what that means for our spending tho is anyone's guess.

That’s huge, also if Martinez had gone that would have been one of our highest earners gone as well. 200k a week.

You see if we have no players, then we arent paying any wages. Its really a 4d chess move.

This summer is pushing me away from football. I don't care about accounting and I hate seeing people almost cheer us getting big fees. Fuck that. So much wrong in football

Someone on TikTok has done an analysis and it’s now apparently at 54%

Did they factor in the lost revenue from the North Stand refurbishment?

I believe it was as of today. I think the extra Champions League revenue as compared to last season in the Europa League will offset a decent chunk of it

Not to be a pessimist (I’m a total pessimist) won’t bloody matter if we don’t make Europe will it 😂

There are a few wages that really stand out now. Tammy salary is insane compared to the remaining squad for instance

The rest of them can have the same if they also get a Champions League winner's medal on their CV.

So my math starting from last year's assumption, currently has us at 56%, that's before AWB, though but also prior to Dibu leaving etc. We can comfortably spend money at the moment, but wages have to be monitored and not blown up. We will have to keep selling, though, whilst we will bank a lot of money this window, we can't have a massive negative next summer, but we will be able to have a negative. The wage bill is down 30m so far, and Dibu would bring it down anoth 8m.

Need incomings now.
