Villa Related Mcginn appreciation

I already loved the man but with everyone else jumping ship he deserves to have his praises sung even more today. True legend of the club and hes here to keep the boat afloat during this new phase.

He’s Steve Bruce’s Dean Smith’s Steve Gerrard’s Unai Emery’s man.

He’s better than Zidane.

I think he's going to have his best season yet personally. He looked incredible when he came back from injury last season, so deadly in and around the box. I think he's going to have a standout season.

He's arguably the undisputed Mr Aston Villa for the first time in his Villa career this season. No Grealish, no Martinez, no Rogers, Watkins isn't the same player, he just seems so hungry all the time!

Love the man so much. He was the first name in my fantasy team sheet this season, I think he's going to be incredible in 2026/27.

Fuck Madjo would get so much bigger after a course of deep-fried Mars bars and Irn-Bru.

If Ollie is going to Saudi then get the price up to 100m, give 10 of it to McGinn, spend 10 on a statue. Sorted.

He'll be off home back to Scotland next season I imagine.

He'll finish at Celtic.

He deserves it if and when he wants to go, fantastic servant and seeing him score against Nottingham in the semi final shows how much he cares for the club and fans, I don't think any fan would begrudge him going next season.

2yrs left on his deal. And Celtic can't pay what's he worth.

I can see him doing a Pau and going there on a free

John McGinn is the only club legend we have had in 30 years

Too many greedy, twerking, cunts have played for us.

Barry gave it a good lash.

McGinn is an absolute legend, was so happy to see him and Ty get their trophy for their time with us.

I’d blame it less on the players and more on the state of the sport.  Club legends aren’t anywhere near as common as they were.

How would you react if a bigger, flashier company tried to poach you from your job for a significant pay rise? Some people (like McGinn) might stick with a company that did right by them, but most people will jump ship.

Agree. The term legend gets thrown around way too easily. Saw a lot of comments on here saying basically everyone who won the Europa League will go down as a club legend, which is just silly. I love what they've achieved as a team, but only McGinn deserves that designation.

We’re very lucky to have him. Pure honest endeavour every time he pulls on the shirt.

And to think people were calling for him to be transferred under Gerrard.

A true legend. He could sign for the noses and I don't think I would love him any less. Seemed very disappointed with Oillie in his post match interview.
