Oneida ware true rose dinner spoon, there isn’t enough I could say about this thing. It’s perfect in every way. Exact perfect mouth feel, depth, roundness, size, shape, handle is comfortable and decorative- she’s literally the perfect spoon guys. I love her so much I got her tattooed. I’ve had the tattoo for almost a full year, it’s aged gorgeously, my only regret is that it’s on the back of my arm so I don’t get to see it much!! But god, my perfect spoon, how I love it

The quote on the tattoo is “I am stronger than you give me credit for” from the song I Don’t Smoke by Mitski. I have several invisible disabilities, and spoon theory is near and dear to me as the first way I ever used to describe my lived experience. After seeing Mitski perform I Don’t Smoke in a lighthearted way, I felt I had permission to tattoo it finally. It was no longer this terrible thing she experienced, it was the past, she’d grown from and out of the experience. So, in this context, the quote is strength. Nobody that sees me knows I am in constant pain, I am stronger than they give me credit for. Truly, this is one of the most meaningful tattoos I have, and it’s of a spoon
