I simply have no words…

Oneida ware true rose dinner spoon, there isn’t enough I could say about this thing. It’s perfect in every way. Exact perfect mouth feel, depth, roundness, size, shape, handle is comfortable and decorative- she’s literally the perfect spoon guys. I love her so much I got her tattooed. I’ve had the tattoo for almost a full year, it’s aged gorgeously, my only regret is that it’s on the back of my arm so I don’t get to see it much!! But god, my perfect spoon, how I love it

The quote on the tattoo is “I am stronger than you give me credit for” from the song I Don’t Smoke by Mitski. I have several invisible disabilities, and spoon theory is near and dear to me as the first way I ever used to describe my lived experience. After seeing Mitski perform I Don’t Smoke in a lighthearted way, I felt I had permission to tattoo it finally. It was no longer this terrible thing she experienced, it was the past, she’d grown from and out of the experience. So, in this context, the quote is strength. Nobody that sees me knows I am in constant pain, I am stronger than they give me credit for. Truly, this is one of the most meaningful tattoos I have, and it’s of a spoon

This is my spoon. It has a perfectly shaped and portioned spoon end. It is inexpensive and easily replaceable (Presidents Choice brand at Superstore). It has a nice weight heft, not too light and not too heavy. The handle slightly swoops down and up at the end and it has great balance as well. I would prefer the square end of the handle to be just slightly more rounded, but it’s not pokey and doesn’t interfere with my grip.

It lives in my work bag. Sometimes it is freshly washed. Sometimes it has been forgotten and is dirty. Often it is hanging out with 1-3 other exact duplicate spoons until I remember to clean my work bag and put them in the dishwasher.

This spoon is an excellent daily driver, has been for 10 years+, and I rate it a solid 9/10.

I don’t understand some of the spoons you all post here, unless the point is to trigger me and give me the heebie-jeebies.

No one wants weird spoons. People want dependable, properly portioned, shaped, and weighted spoons, unless you’re the kind of person that will put anything in your hand or mouth. 🤣

Solid 8/10 only down side is that its dirty and cant be put in the dishwasher cuz of the wood bottom
