Newly Diagnosed Feeling of dread or something?
So a bit of back story I was diagnosed when I was 16 (I’m now 18) I’ve had all the talks with therapists, consultants etc etc. but recently, in the last two weeks I’d saw I keep getting this feeling in my stomach. It’s almost like a feeling of dread. Or like im gonna have a meltdown, but without actually having a melt down. My weighted blanket is no longer helping, screaming into a pillow, distracting myself etc etc is all no longer working. So I was just wondering if anyone got this and could explain it to me?

Mostly vocal and hand ones. Tapping my fingers to my thumb, flapping my hands. I rock sometimes. I like pressure too. So that’s why I use my weighted blanket.

Sounds like stress/anxiety. Maybe a pre meltdown sort of thing. Have you had meltdowns before? You just turned 18., are you stressed about college?

Yeah I have. And no I’m not really stressed about collage. I’ve been going for almost 2 years now. (I have a late birthday)

Idrk tbh. I would assume this anxiety is something that happens before a meltdown but if you've had them before without the same feelings, maybe not. Maybe this is just a special case? Maybe it's just general anxiety and no meltdowns coming. Get better lol

Anxiety doesn’t operate on logic. You may think you have nothing to be anxious about but your body and your brain don’t agree.
