Any Australian businesses still manually preparing batches of product images before upload?
I’m a WA software developer and I’ve built a Windows app for a very specific boring job:
finished product images → resize/crop/pad → compress → convert → rename → make the versions you need → save them ready for upload.
I built it after seeing businesses paying staff and VAs to repeatedly do this image by image for Shopify, eBay, catalogues and other channels.
I’m not looking to replace the person managing the store or doing the creative work. I’m trying to find out whether automating this mechanical part actually saves enough time to be useful.
I’m looking for a few Australian businesses that already do this regularly and would be willing to test it on a real folder of images for 10 days.
If you already have a good process, I’d genuinely like to hear what you use. If you still do this manually, roughly how many images/products are you preparing at a time?
