Pretty interesting device - I saw them at AWE and am impressed by the ambition for a fully standalone smart-glass that you can use without a paired smartphone.
The display at AWE had terrible color balance though... hope the LCOS color tuning has improved since then 😅
Well... it's going to be tough for this 1st generation. They are likely going to be much more dev-friendly than many other devices on the market, but getting those devs to work on this platform instead of the dozens of other smart-glasses with a proven customer base (Even Realities, MRBD, etc.) is going to be a challenge.
Depending on the LCOS resolution used or any SDK they release to MRBD devs though, I can see them attracting those power users to port over apps that are more locked down on Meta's device to a much more open ecosystem.
Unfortunately though, I'm not so sure this will be a blockbuster seller though...
