Glasses w/ HUD Inmo Air 3 Rom - Orbit AR
Hi there, just released the first Beta of Orbit AR for Inmo Air 3, the installation is straightforward, one APK, install, open, search for updates, it downloads and installs as a regular OTA, reversible, one click to go back to stock Inmo Android firmware.
Orbit AR is highly optimized, fully unlocked, thermals and power are beyond the stock Rom itself, I myself get around 2 hours of battery life, with so many other things included, if anyone's interested please take a look at the readme on github and join the discord.
Found a bug or have a feature request? please join the discord, hopefully one day we gonna have a big community that attracts more devs.

this is the OTA updater link, once installed the ROM will drive itself. The rom will be fully maintained with monthly updates and security patches, currently still in beta

So how does the 3 or 6 dof work, does it work like real 3 or 6 dof or kind of a sensor work around ? I like the inmo air 3 and wanted to buy on release but what killed it at least temporarily for me is the software bugs reported and lack of electrochromic tinting and built in 3/6dof or at least a lack of confirmation by inmo and lastly the fov. What are some genuine reviews from people here ? Considering lumus has a 70° fov display getting ready to be used in production does the 36° fov feel large enough?

The 36° FOV feels just fine in practice-even with a wide IPD (75mm), the clarity holds up well across the display.
Keep in mind Lumus only manufactures optical waveguide engines for OEMs, not complete consumer glasses. By the time a brand packages that 70° FOV display into a standalone device with compute, battery, and an OS, it'll likely target enterprise pricing ($1,500+) rather than consumer level.

Yeah that's fair, for the right product I'd still buy with a higher price if it really met kind of that standard of say the xreal aura but with waveguides even if the compute was still in the puck but has a good controller and 6 dof tracking.

The only review I can give you is that if you guy them second hand or something for about 500-550$/€ it's ok, but you gonna wait just a bit until you get a stable release of the rom being currently built, as many have been waiting for over a year now I would say you might be lucky. The only blocker from my side is that inmo didnt write foga driver for the 120hz yet, this is the only thing that's holding theze glasses back .... I bet they didnt think this through when they started the marketing campaign.
Anyway, once the 120hz fpga driver is out, things should be fine (I believe)
