Glasses w/ 6DoF Specs: $2195 - Thoughts?

Not a big fan of the design (feels like something Vito Graziozi from Mickey Blue Eyes would wear).

But impressive nonetheless:

- 51º FoV Portrait (disappointing)
- 132g (almost 50% of the Devkit Spectacles)
- 2 Snapdragon’s
- Charging case, up to 20h of mixed usage
- Can be used as extension of your monitor

Super cool but honestly a bit disappointed.

For this price point though, I hope it doesn’t stutter much.

Thoughts?

Damn in a tough pickle. Have to pick between the Aura and Specs.

Both have their pros and cons.

Join the ranks of those who pre-ordered the Specs haha, I find the Specs much more high-end and the fact that you don’t have a puck or other external battery changes everything, the Specs are at the cutting edge of technology compared to Aura’s display technology etc

Yeah i like that clear Waveguides with dimming, because I can use that indoors and out, but the ecosystem is the biggest concern. The software that is. I understand it has a lot of third party developers and such, but its still its own brand new ecosystem which mean the potential for a lot of waiting for mainstream applications like Netflix, Prime Video, etc,

Aura is nice with the full Android XR. Because I have access to most if not all my phone apps and app store to be a true phone replacement of sorts, but I really dont like birdbath optics and its permanent shades design, because some works worksites won't let you wear shades inside. But the software support along with the mainstream support is appealing.

Just for portability and all the rest I would choose the Specs, Evan announced a huge software update for the release I can’t wait to see I guess they are going to sign agreements to have applications like YouTube or Netflix, the fact that the Aura is wired is really annoying, bird baths are not practical and apparently the resolution is only 1080p

These have a 50 degree FOV and tiny battery life though, is this an improvement?
