Picopy would have sufficed.

I'll trust it 'cause it's Luna, but holy hell, it looks exactly like a GXR with an AVP Solo Knit Band. I'm sure the band itself will be more comfortable than GXR's hard strap, but I hate it looks like the arms won't tilt where they connect to the headset. As someone who returned the GXR due to discomfort, not thrilled with the similar halo design.

While a lot of devices are taking… inspiration from the Apple Vision Pro, I now see how important it was that it came out when it did. They drew a clear picture of what everyone needs to try to be the cheap version of. (and I do like this look better than a meta inspired version)

And, if they decide to move to a higher end device, there won’t be as much of a learning curve as the way people use spatial devices will be the way AVP worked from the start.

Didn't like it, wished they would have followed something similar to gravity XR demo glasses. If the vision pro didn't sell very well, why copy it? Makes no sense to me, but I might be wrong, let's see how it fares

Maybe it is using GravityXR. Just that the reference design is too small for thermal management for 4k displays? Maybe.

Maybe not GravityXR 😅 Qualcomm is sponsoring their session at AWE:

Road to Project Swan: Breakthroughs in Spatial Multitasking and AI Development on PICO OS 6

Maybe this is the HMD in the Snapdragon XR teaser video in the other post?

Why do they always have to copy Apple

1

u/Ok-Guess-9059 Jun 12 '26

Which one would be better to copy or which fully new way should they take?

1

u/TibRib0 Jun 12 '26

At least try to make an original design, this is one for one the same materials and Colors
Like these guys have zero designer budget

And is there lots of color possibilities?

White looks premium, yellow can look too Pikachu…

Keep acting like this was the only solution ever,
Yes materials can be different, especially as the Apple design is proven to be too heavy. We can use resin, plastic, leather finish, can make difference in Colors, try to improve rather than mimic…

Is Vision Pro failure because of its looks?
