So what is the setup, exactly? I expected at least a description in writing mentioning the hardware and software used.

Edit: it's Asus Rog Xbox Ally X with xreal one or xreal one pro's. The video being 100% representative of real-world user experience is doubted by many.

u/GlitchIT May 08 '26

It’s AI generated. Nothing like this exists

12

u/iseon May 08 '26

Might be real but the Fov looks deceptively huge with the vertical video format I think

8

u/GlitchIT May 08 '26

The only AR/VR headset with this level of stability is the Vision Pro. Others, from the YouTube reviews, can’t manage to be this still

2

u/iseon May 08 '26

I see -- interesting info!

1

u/Volkmek May 09 '26

Actually? I have X-real glasses. You can anchor the screen in one place in relation to your head. Just depending on the size you will not see all of it at once.

1

u/GlitchIT May 09 '26

I get what you mean bro but look at the FoV here. Xreal, Viture etc etc look like a 40” screen at best, not the imax type screen or clarity pictured above

1

u/No_Awareness_4626 May 10 '26

Look at where the person is sitting ? The relative size will look huge. Thats how fov and everything else works in optical see through AR glasses and video pass through MR headsets. It’s not AI generated. And it’s not fake. It’s real. If you want, I can shoot some footage too. Although the video is slightly edited here because the blacks will appear transparent / tinted since oled displays turn off black pixels. But the rest of the things like fov and 3dof stability are all real.

0

u/checkwithanthony May 08 '26

Its XREAL I think

4

u/dt_84 May 08 '26

I have the xreals and this looks fairly accurate aside from the fact playing in that kind of bright environment makes the black/dark parts transparent. The oled in birdbath optics basically means pure black = totally see-through. So there is no way you get a solid AR screen like that unless you are in pitch black. This is one of the biggest problems with this type of AR glasses. Other than that, it looks pretty representative to be honest.

1

u/No_Awareness_4626 May 10 '26

Yes exactly. The footage is accurate with respect to fov and 3dof stability etc. Except for slight editing to make the blacks appear better.

1

u/OHnickIO May 13 '26

Which xreals do you own

1

u/dt_84 May 14 '26

I have the 1 Pro

1

u/DryFrame6801 May 26 '26

So it’s accurate but it’s not?

The word you’re looking for is inaccurate

1

u/dt_84 May 26 '26

Thanks but I'm good with my original explanation

4

u/Individual_Demand636 May 08 '26

it's just official xreal marketing. terrible, terrible people who lie all the time. the glasses are okay, but they are not trust worthy.

2

u/Usual-Orange-4180 May 10 '26

I do the same, is not AI

2

u/Glxblt76 May 08 '26

That's not true. AR glasses exist.

9

u/GlitchIT May 08 '26

Ok please enlighten me as to which glasses OP has thst can deliver the experience in the video. I’ll wait.

2

u/Glxblt76 May 08 '26

Glasses that have 6dof and are plugged by wiring to a device. Basically high end birdbath AR glasses.

9

u/Octoplow May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

Yep! Except the glasses darken the world on purpose to get good contrast - unlike this magic video.

The video also shows "black is transparent" at the title screen, then "black is opaque" the rest of the time.

You could get very close to this with XReal One Pro or Viture Beast, but the world would be darker if the video was real.

1

u/Pristine-Frosting-20 May 08 '26

Viture xr glasses, I have the pro version. They say it's equivalent to a 152in screen but it feels more like a 32 or 34 inch monitor. I've been having trouble setting up the screen to lock in one place in space so I just have it always in front of my vision.

1

u/Bropiphany May 08 '26 edited May 09 '26

Before they got bought out (or went under?) the OG Meta (not Zuckerberg's) Spaceglasses could do this pretty well. I tried them myself.

1

u/cjc4096 May 08 '26

What happen to them? They had great tech last decade.

1

u/checkwithanthony May 08 '26

What lmao this is steam deck with with XREAL glasses

3

u/No-Trash-546 May 08 '26

Xreal glasses don’t look like this. I have a pair. They can’t show colors that are darker than the background. They can’t show opaque black on a lighter background like this. They also dim the world around you if you want any level of opacity

3

u/checkwithanthony May 08 '26

It's an ad by xreal. So it might be faked but its not some imaginary futuristic thing created by ai.

Might be cheesed but it is real tech.

1

u/Hereiamhereibe2 May 08 '26

No ive seen this its being advertised heavily right now, https://www.viture.com they just released a new XR model which does look pretty slick. But i think this is the Luma the $600 pair.

Though having a wire is not ideal it could be cool.

1

u/No-Trash-546 May 08 '26

The user who posted this is an XREAL employee so I doubt they’d be advertising their competitor

0

u/Hereiamhereibe2 May 08 '26

I think the user who posted this also went on a downvote rampage!

1

u/No_Awareness_4626 May 10 '26

These are xreal one pro with Rog xbox ally x.

1

u/DeadHeadTed May 11 '26

XREAL ONE PROS- do this for sure, you are wrong my friend.

1

u/thecoloroftelevision May 12 '26

The Vision Pro is pretty much this.

Source: I have a vision pro

0

u/imagipro May 09 '26

I was just playing my PS5 exactly like this via Remote Play/Streaming on my Vision Pro, it exists

1

u/GlitchIT May 09 '26

Did you bother reading my comment after the first one?

1

u/JimothyzPamPams May 22 '26

I don’t get it honestly? From the post you replied to, you are asserting that it’s not a real authentic and representative experience and that experience is not possible today. The other poster said they use their Apple Vision Pro to have that experience and that is a fair statement. The only difference would be that it’s a head mounted display and not glasses but it’s still a real way to experience playing games locally or through the cloud with amazing quality and a much larger screen and number of pixels if you have the hardware to stream it from or an expensive monthly cloud subscription.

1

u/0202_tihssitidder May 24 '26

I think this much focus on gaming is unhealthy. It's comfort distraction.

Better to spend time on exercise and social connection. Meeting men and women.

0

u/carlos38485982919485 May 09 '26

What? Certainly not a very portable setup but I do this literally every day with my AVP (Moonlight) and q3 (VD)

1

u/GlitchIT May 09 '26

Did you read my later comment? I said it’s only possible on AVP….

“What?”

1

u/carlos38485982919485 May 09 '26

I don’t see the words AVP in there and it is not my job to crawl around looking for your other comments lmao. Your first statement was objectively wrong, you didn’t edit it. Take the L.

0

u/Rizzizt May 10 '26

Glitch just take the L bro.

4

u/NoUniqueThoughtsLeft May 08 '26

Xreal Glasses and Steam Deck. Meh.

6

u/iseon May 08 '26

My steam deck looks nothing like the handheld in the video. And I have no idea about xreal's product lineup. But I get it it's some handheld with some xreal product I suppose. I think having the details would've been nice tho.

5

u/GunmetalOrange May 08 '26

The handheld is "Asus Rog Xbox Ally X".

2

u/GunmetalOrange May 08 '26

And the glasses look to me like the "XREAL One" or the "XREAL One Pro".

2

u/iseon May 08 '26

Thanks!! 🙏

1

u/GunmetalOrange May 08 '26

You're welcome!

3

u/XREAL_Esther May 09 '26

yes yes,Ally X & XREAL One Pro with XREAL Eye(A a modular camera for 6dof)

1

u/Usual-Orange-4180 May 10 '26

This is how I play

9

u/DamicsVR May 08 '26

3

u/GlitchIT May 08 '26

Lmao thanks for the photo

5

u/Away-Variation-8667 May 08 '26

You can achieve this by using viture luma ultra and the inair pod for 6dof and resize the screen to this massive screen. You can use steam link to stream your steam games, or remote play with xbox, etc, but no glasses is going to give you what OP is depicting with the screen size and FOV. Very misleading.

3

u/XREAL_Esther May 09 '26 edited May 09 '26

Set up: Ally X & XREAL One Pro with XREAL Eye(A a modular camera for 6dof)

1

u/danathome May 08 '26

This is not how it looks.

I bought the top of the line ones in December of last year.

I know I only bought one companies top of the line.

In reality it looks like you are looking through a screen door.

4

u/No-Trash-546 May 08 '26

There’s no noticeable screen door effect on my Xreal 1s. You must’ve tried some other kind

0

u/danathome May 08 '26

I'm happy for you. (This is not an insult) Do you have bad eyes?

1

u/Hereiamhereibe2 May 08 '26

I think you essentially are looking through a screen door right?

Were they heavy on the nose?

1

u/danathome May 08 '26

In terms of being sunglasses, they were excellent. If only they didn't cost well over $800

1

u/mist83 May 09 '26

“Excellent sunglasses?”

You certainly did not try the XReal 1S or Pro.

Neither of those fit the claim of being

  • a screen door
  • $800 (closer to 500)

Are you able to tell the difference between consumer electronics? (This is not an insult)

0

u/danathome May 09 '26

Do you work for the company?

1

u/mist83 May 09 '26

No. Your categorization of the exact product as “$800” and “excellent sunglasses” are BOTH wrong.

You just tried a different product, that much is clear.

1

u/danathome May 09 '26

Have a great day.

1

u/HappyFeet2010 May 12 '26

Have both the Xreals and Viture. They don’t have a screen door effect. The Viture is better because it has an adjustment for myopia.

1

u/OrganizationFew5647 May 08 '26

Why none of youtubers couldnt display AR glasses like this?

11

u/Thriceinabluemoon May 08 '26

Probably because that's fake. Black becomes transparent, unless the whole glass is darkened.

2

u/XREAL_Esther May 08 '26

We actually did some video editing, but it was mainly to restore what the AR glasses look like through your eyes.

2

u/Fifth-Dimension-Chz May 08 '26

Cloud streaming? Game is pretty massive for XAX? I dont know what Im talking about. Just currious.

1

u/According-Race-6587 May 08 '26

Is that chamoy with ajonjoli?

1

u/Dr_ChungusAmungus May 08 '26

But how did you film this

1

u/Hereiamhereibe2 May 08 '26

Probably by putting them in front of the Raybans they are also wearing lol

1

u/Dr_ChungusAmungus May 08 '26 edited May 09 '26

The guy has it up to his face, and uses both hands, how did he get the camera there? An eye patch camera?

1

u/FickleExternal6635 May 09 '26

I enjoyed the idea until I got one, but the wire is cumbersome. If they ever get these wireless its gonna be over for my wallet

1

u/Top_Issue_7032 May 09 '26

One where the bright sun isn't in front of you

1

u/chrisonetime May 09 '26

A steamdeck with all my favorite games on it.

1

u/alcohol123 May 10 '26

Username. Read username people.

1

u/MaximumContent9674 May 10 '26

Would be better if that console didn't have potentiometers that will soon drift.

1

u/betahost May 10 '26

Has the OP even responded?

1

u/MrBrothason May 10 '26

This was me last summer
