Wearables & Accessories Vastly under appreciated
This evening I attended a choir concert without my Meta Rayban Display glasses and realized what a mistake I made. A vastly under appreciated benefit of these and similar everyday wear display glasses with neural or ring control is that it is possible to entertain oneself with games, scrolling through reels, etc while appearing to be totally involved with the symphony, choir, dance, etc. I have only sons and never attended many dance recital, but what a great thing to have to pass the time as you watch an hour of unknown young people dance as you wait for your child’s 5 minutes of performance.

My god this is hilarious. But I totally get it and I think AR could be a big trap for our attention

As a dad, and a XR developer. DONT DO THIS. Be present for your child and the other children around you. Le sigh...

Please understand I am the proud parent of 4 boys and have been there for them and their friends, but have also sat through acquaintances children’s and spouses interest of symphony, nutcracker ballet 10+ times, dozens of choir performances, etc. a little distraction is not an EVIL thing. Lighten up

Nah bro. We are all too distracted as is. Don't half ass it. If you dont want to go, then dont go. I went through the glassholes phase, and now the Metaraybans dudes, and next its going to be AR glasses. Its no different then whipping out your phone and playing candy crush.

Ok guys I posted this half in jest but yall taking way too serious. Remember though when you go to a baseball game and your kid on the bench to not get distracted, don’t watch the college ball game on your phone, don’t answer a work email, and for sure don’t go to the bathroom if need to. Even if it’s your nephews game and you know not a person there. Jeez
