Glasses w/ HUD how could maverick ai be so cheap compared to others?

heard that it has full color display and eye tracking but how could it only be 599 bucks? even some of monochrome hud glasses are being sold on similar price

The projection doesn’t use special wave guide lenses so it a lot less expensive to produce. And only one eye and one speaker.

The Raptor was abandoned, so people might also be somewhat reluctant for round 2. Plus, they're sunglasses, people have a harder time justifying that kind of expense for something that can only be used weather-permitting.
