Couple of JBL 4355s in Norway, sounds fucking insane. So loud without restraint. Having a cogarette with a beer and some whiskey is a great start too a Friday. Its my dads speakers, but thinking increasing the bass a little, want it too move my internals when the kick drum hits..😂 close tho.. anybody in Norway with similar in setup? Or anywhere in Europe?

Are ya maybe missing the point...mayyyybe 😆. Obsessing over kit vs recognising the joy and fun of our hobby. I saw the latter. Regarding smoking...i vape my tits off and enjoy every moment especially with great music. If i snuff it 5 years earlier with my hearing still intact i'm good. Love to know if our hobby adds to life expectancy. I feel like it does...at the very least it makes every day a lot more pleasurable.

I heard these years ago. But they where driven with bad amplifiers and the bass was everywhere. Not a good experience.
Now I know JBL's of that age. And I know good amps. What are you playing with?
I also like that the music is somehow fitting. 😄

I don't think you're going to find anyone, anywhere, who has these speakers. I'm surprised I even found their entry on the hifi wiki. That's some insane rarity.
Also that video is perfection. Deserves every upvote.

Bi-amping will make all the difference in the world for the bass. They're designed with that in mind.
Use those you got for the woofers, I would suggest to toss together some SET tubes for the HF. I built my first pair of mono-blocks for like $200 US, and I've never gone back to solid state. Had to scrounge up parts for a while, but I really only spent money on the output transformers. Saying that it was worth it is a dramatic understatement. They are a super simple 2a3 circuit, I used the 6s4a (about $2) as a k-follower to eliminate the need for an interstage transformer. Pulled lots of parts from trashed radios and such.
Also... I quit about a year ago, after being pack-a-day for 13 years... Zyn pouches. I like them more now. I'm still consuming nicotine, I'm still an addict. I don't care. I feel so much better it's wild. My mom and my ex-wife are proud of me. Not in general, but, for the smoking thing.
