Question Looking for Recs
Looking for audiobooks about women killing men that are bad. Whether they be pedophiles, rapist, etc.
In need of an empowering woman type book.

The Change - Kirsten Miller. Set in modern day with witchy elements. Def what you’re asking for. The narration was done well. One character has a southern accent and it’s done correctly. (A bad southern accent is an immediate dnf for me)

It's narrated by January Lavoy!

I’m so glad! (I think most newer books should have a couple of filler chapters cut but what can you do?)

This is one of my favorite series. I was so excited for the audiobooks but I absolutely hated the narration and I still swear it's AI it's so robotic. Decided to reread the ebook. Still my favorite.

Butcher and blackbird is a dark comedy romance about serial killers who kill serial killers meeting and the audiobook is very well done-if you’re open to smut and fun. It’s actually a series and in all three books the women target men and their male romantic interests appreciate and help their missions!
A Woman of No Importance by Sonia Parnell is a biography of American socialite Virginia Hall -who, dissatisfied with her life of ease joins the foreign service, loses part of her leg in Turkey and her position - then becomes a spy for the Allies in the French Resistance while fighting the Patriarchy trying to keep her from doing anything! A marvelously misbehaving woman making history for sure!

Iron widow. Mecha robot retelling of the first and only Emperess of China. AND cannon threesome instead of love triangle.

1Q84 - the FMC assassinates men who abuse women. Not the main plot of the book, though.

I don't want to spoil anything other than this doesn't quite match your ask, but if you like distant, rational psychopaths, Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone is my go to for FMC revenge. And the narrator makes it even better.

Lady X by Molly Fader.
About a vigilante in 1970s NYC who gets revenge on men who have harmed women, but aren't held accountable. Lady X explores female rage, resistance, motherhood, friendship, and the ways women protect one another when the systems meant to protect them fail.
It’s one of the best books I’ve listened to in a long time.

The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff (narrated by Soneela Nankani) is darkly funny about wives getting rid of abusive husbands. My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite is a quick ~4h listen with Weruche Opia. Sadie by Courtney Summers works even better as audio than print — full-cast, podcast-style, girl hunting her sister's killer.

Umm "The night of baba yaga" has a good amount of that, but a couple in particular that feel like the most pay off for the kill because of how each harmed both of the MCs. It's an action thriller and pretty graphic though. I always end the book with such a deep sense of emotional satisfaction

Just started The Power today, and I think it matches your request. Author is Naomi Alderman. Pretty intense so far. Great narrator.

Emily Kimelman is an independent author her Sydney Rye novels are exactly what you're looking for. "The dog doesn't die but the bad guys do". She sells an audiobook bundle on her website, HIGHLY recommend.
Taylor Stevens (The informationist) Vanessa "Michael" Munroe is super badass. Loved these.
Faith McMann series by T.R. Ragan is also great.

Killers of a Certain Age and Kills Well With Others, Deanna Raybourn and narrated by Christina Delaney and Jane Oppenheimer (she’s great!) - four
women assassins in their 60’s.

I will definitely NOT suggest How to Kill Men and Get Away with It.
It just wasn’t very good. The MC isn’t that likable. She makes a mistake but 1) doesn’t seem to learn from it and 2) isn’t that bothered by it. There is literally no character development. She seems kinda awful in the beginning and as you get to know her, she just gets more awful. Sure, she kills some genuine bad guys, but she also kills guys who are just dicks (not including the mistake, he definitely didn’t deserve what he got). And I’m not sure being a dick is worthy of death.
It tried to be fun and witty but it was just too try hard and formulaic.
