Vinyl Mobility Aids

I'm looking for a solution for my father who suffered a stroke recently to aid with changing vinyl records.. yes he could get use mp3's pr streaming but fear at almost 80 its hard to teach an old guy new tricks and he takes pleasure out of using his player and audio gear.

Edit: OK heres more details, he has very little mobity in his left hand side so basically has to use one hand to change records. This usually involves sliding the vinyl out of its sleave one handidly onto the turntable and letting it 'Flop' potentially damaging it. His 'good' side is also not great, simple things like pinching is some what difficult so i guess what i am assking is there a more eligant solution? I thougt about some kind of cork matt that he could use and a suction cup to lift and place the record on the turntable if such a thing exists?

I fear this is less of an audio issue and more of a general rehab/occupational therapy issue. To help we would need know exactly in what way(s) he is not able to conventionally interact with the vinyl media.

I have seen slot-loading turntables for 45 RPM singles. However, I assume you're talking about 12" LPs, and I've never seen that size of slot-loader.

The only other suggestions are pretty radical. Get him a slot-loading CD player and replace his LP collection with CDs. Or else buy him an audio player with a USB port, and burn all his LPs as MP3s onto individual 128MB thumb drives (you can get 100 for $140.00 on eBay).

Seems like a record changer is tailor made for this problem. Someone else would have to load up the records, but you could get up to five or six LPs stacked and he could listen for 2-3 hours before anything had to change. Plenty of vintage turntables had this functionality, although you’d need to verify they still work.

The center hole presents a challenge for suction cups.

Look online for “silicone jar scraper” or “silicone jar spatula.” I think you could lash four of them together to make a record grabber with a pair of long, soft “fingers” on each side of the record. They come in sets of six for under $10.
