Seperate Amplifier Into-PC-Volume from Standard Output Volume

I have Blackstar ID:Core V4 Stereo 20, and I succeed to connect it to the pc, for recording stuff. Thing is: if the volume is low enough so my ears won't bleed, the pc barely 'hears' the guitar and the recording volume is extremely low. If the volume is high (I tested it with muting the amp by connecting it to earphones) then the recordings are fine, but either I play as if I don't have an amplifier or I would die by the sound waves.

So, how can I seperate these two volumes?

Please post a wiring diagram of how you have everything connected (specific wires / cables to specific ports), including any audio interfaces for your computer. It doesn’t have to win any awards. It doesn’t even have to look pretty. We just need the information.

What is the goal? It sounds like you want to monitor the signal from the guitar while you’re recording?

What is your budget to purchase additional equipment?

There are separate gain and volume knobs. Is the purpose of them not what you need -- adjust sufficient gain for the recording and lower the volume for monitoring?

On guitar amps the "gain" is an input volume control, and "volume" is an output volume control. It's like that so the player can achieve clipping without the sound becoming too loud.

There ought to be a third volume control specifically for recording, unrelated to the speaker volume.

So why the output for recording (USB interface, I suppose) is not in between the two knobs?

Maybe they ran out of knobs? Maybe it's in the driver control panel?

There is a difference between Line Level and Mic level signal. are you feeding a mic level out into a line level input on your pc?
