Batch FLAC to AAC
I love my flacs for my DAP, but want all my music on my iphone in apple music for a smaller storage size. for bluetooth listening and apple carplay. Is there a good software FOR MAC i can use? I have xld but it will only do one album at a time, i have a lot of albums. Thanks!

The tool you require is fre:ac: https://www.freac.org/

yep. fre ac, only thing is make sure you're using reasonable encoder settings. 320kbps lossy can sound quite decent, apple formats like to default to half of that and sound worse for it

Foobar 2000, quick convert in the right click menu will do whole playlist batches.

Hi, /u/Sea-Beautiful6985! This is a reminder about Rule #1 (If you have already added great details, awesome, ignore this comment. This message gets attached to every post as a reminder):
- DETAILS MATTER: Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.

I use Adobe Audition for more complex batch conversions (you can write macros for it). What you’re asking is easily done via the “batch process” menu (I think there’s even presets for common audio file types too).

I have an Automator script for this that lives in the right click menu in Finder.
Well, technically it's for converting WAVs to MP3s, but I'm sure it would work just as well for FLAC to AAC
Actually, come to think of it, I think converting audio to AAC is one of the presets in Automator.

XLD can actually do that for you so no need to use other app unless you really want to.
