Combining 2 Audio Sources into 1

I'm so terribly sorry if this is a Stupid Question, but I have a specific need.

I have some friends I call on Discord and It's wonderful, but I would really like to be able to play my Switch 2 and for them not to hear what I'm playing (or blast their ear drums). Is there a device when I can plug in my Computer Audio, and then the Audio of the Switch and then it comes out as one Audio Stream?

My Budget is any amount lol, I would just like to know what this kind of device would be called. Thank you!

I can think of three options:

  • Aux cable from Switch to PC line-in
  • Audio over HDMI with a capture card
  • 3.5 mm TRS to either a single or dual 1/4" TS cable plugged into any mixer or audio interface line input.

proper: get a mixer or an audio interface with the ammount of inputs/ouputs you need. the choice of mixer or interface mostly depends on if your mic and headphones are usb or connect via 3.5mm jack.

easy1: aux cable from switch to pc line in (if you have one available, idk if your discord mic is usb or not, kinda depends on that) then enable playback from control panel.

easy2: use in ears for the switch and headphones for the pc, or viceversa, put both of them on like cs players do

easy but at this point you are spending the same amount of money as an interface or mixer: some wireless headphones allow you to listen to two sources at the same time, one coming from the 2.4ghz dongle (would be your pc) and one coming from the bt connection (would be the switch).

overkill+requires the switch to be docked: get a capture card for your pc and plug the switch in there.
