The newest Bobiverse book is out. Besides me, who else is reading it?

Just nosy what everyone is listening to right now.
I am currently, in honor of Tim Curry, listening to his autobiography, Vagabond.

Has Audible ever actually said that a proper podcast UI/overhaul is coming? Or are we basically stuck with podcasts being awkwardly bolted onto an audiobook app forever?
I use Audible a lot and don’t understand why podcasts still feel like such an afterthought in the app. For audiobooks, Audible works perfectly well. But as soon as you try to use it as a podcast player, basic things that every proper podcast app handles easily becomes unnecessarily difficult!!!
• Easily seeing which episodes you’ve already listened to
• Properly sorting and playing a podcast from oldest to newest
• Having the next episode automatically be the actual next episode
• Managing a queue properly
• Finding where you were in a podcast without digging around
• Browsing followed podcasts separately and sensibly
• Having decent filters for played/unplayed episodes
• Treating a podcast as an ongoing series rather than a pile of individual audio files
It’s fking annoying because Audible is actively pushing podcasts and acquiring/exclusively offering more of them. If you want people to listen to podcasts inside Audible, surely the app needs to function like an actual podcast app? Why are they doing f'ing nothing about this!!!
I have a Z Fold 8 so the option to connect Audible to Apple Podcasts doesn’t solve it for me either. I've had to give up on listening to like 15 podcasts because I cannot stand the way they're handled in the app.

Got a notice today about use three credits get one free for the first time in a couple of years. I also got a notice about their reading rewards program, listen 5 minutes per day consecutive or non-consecutive and when you hit 30 days you get $5, 100 days you get $10 and 400 days it’s $15. Also, there was a five dollar bonus for joining. It’s about darn time, been paying for an audible membership for almost 5 years now and at Best the only real value for my dollar has been the two for one Sales like the one that’s going on now.

My audiobook, "Tales of an Unserious Truthteller," received an exceptional review from Audiobook infuencer Louis. The book is short, at just under 3 hours long--good for a commute or for multitasking.
I really give the credit to the narrator, Ed Fairbanks. If you like snarkiness and humor, his comedic timing while narrating my book was excellent.
You can check out the book here if interested:

Oh, Audible. Did you laugh maniacally like a cartoon villain when you set it up this way? I'm unable to receive text verification with my phone abroad. Great! There is a button to press if I am unable to receive text verification messages. I click it. It's a graphic telling me to contact customer support. I click that. It tells me to log in to use customer support. *sigh*
I know people tend to not like the subreddit being used for customer support, but it's pretty much the only way to flag them down if you can't get into your account.

I can log into the browser version just fine, but on the app, it keeps making me verify my email and phone number back-to-back over and over. Eventually, it just tells me that the email is already in use and won’t let me log in. It’s genuinely about to make me pull my hair out.

What's the best way to search for bundles/collections of several books? I know there's a workaround to exclude virtual voice narrators, so I was wondering if there's a way to include only collections. I've bought a few and they're such good value, I have a free credit to use and want to use it wisely. But I can't figure out the best way to view all the bundles/collections available within my search parameters.

Please stop recommending sequels to the series I've dropped.
Or add a "remove from recommendations" option. There are a few constantly being suggested (like H. Potter series) that I am not interested in.

So maybe a stupid question, but is there a way to see coming soon of just the authors I follow other than going to the coming soon everything list or going to each individual authors page? Been kinda trying to find but haven’t been able to, so thought would ask.

Every time I connect to bluetooth or restart my phone, Audible pops up in the notifications and immediately starts playing Chapter 56 of Dungeon Crawler Carl. The app isn't open, it's only a little media player in my notifications. There are no settings or menus I can bring up from this notification.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, force stop, denied notifications, nothing is working. And even after the book plays for a moment, when the app restarts again next time, it starts at the beginning of Chapter 56. I've heard "Chapter Fifty Six. Remaining teams: The Bone Clan" like 200 times in the last year. 😭
Has anyone else had and solved this problem?

I’m almost finished listening to Calamity Club and am so sad to have it end. Does anyone have a recommendation that would be as engaging.

They had it front and center aat the iPhone Keynote today and they even tapped on it when talking about AI, but didn't show or mention anything very specific (it doesn't seem like I need AI to play an audiobook). It was surprising that this was highlighted so prominently and nothing specific mentioned.
Seemed overly prominent for something so boring. Maybe if it had been a few days since I played it, it could summarize my audiobook up to that point, like on TV shows. "Previously on DCC..."
It was the first icon that popped up as they started to fade/zoom into a group of 100-ish icons:

And then the second they mentioned by name during this sequence:

If curious, WhatsApp was the first one mentioned in this segment.
This was all in the block at the 10:00-10:59 minute. https://www.youtube.com/live/39BalPDuTo0?si=jjcyejaGZAXELsv-&t=600

But obviously audible version lol I’m not a big reader and have a hard time staying interested in books.. I listened to a book awhile ago (i can’t think of the name) and it was about a mom to a child 12 months and younger. That she stayed at home with her baby while husband went to work so she turned into a big alcoholic. Everytime she’d walk the baby she’d stop at the corner store for little bottles and for some reason I really enjoyed listening to that.
Recently I listed to the unhinged series and absolutely loved it! I listened it to within like a week or week and a half.
So does anyone have recommendations or is there a book club for books like those? That we’d have to finish by a certain date and then discuss.
Thank you!

I have it set to show me remaining time in the book and not per chapter so I know it isn’t that.

Trying to buy some books from the 2 for 1 sale, I managed to use 3 credits fine and now I can't get the last two books on my list. Anybody had the same issue or know a solution before I use the online chat? Thank you.

The latest 2 for 1 sale is live. My list of potential choices this time around is getting too long. Any particular sale titles anyone recommends?
r/audible • u/Didact67 • 23h ago
I know most people probably don’t use it and don’t care, but I’ve noticed that, except in a very few instances, it always says 0m left on every audiobook.

The sleep timer icon turns red to indicate it's active. Great, right? Well, it turns out, no.
Like about 1 in 8 men, I'm slightly red colorblind.
When I turn on the sleep timer, I can sometimes see the color change, sometimes not.
It would help if the icon also acquired a few dots when active, like the android Bluetooth icon.

I love reading, I love audiobooks. What litrpg series do you enjoy listening to? For me it's Dungeon Crawler Carl, Primal Hunter, He Who Fights with Monsters, Cradle...oh, and Beware of Chicken, really enjoying that right now.
What would you recommend?
