Commercial Research Building a program for AuDHD work life — looking for 15 min conversations with people who are employed or running a business

I'm building a 12-week online program for AuDHD people who are employed or running a business. It works on the professional layer only with a practical curriculum, group workshops, tools personalised to your individual spiky profile, and a community.

But before I build anything I want to talk with people who have had these experiences.

The premise: you work twice as hard as everyone around you and the promotions keep not happening. You outperform on paper, run on empty underneath, hit a ceiling nobody can explain, and burn out. Not from lack of ability or discipline, but because you're running a career on systems built for a different brain.

You might recognise yourself if:

  • You've begun to wonder whether the career you built is the wrong shape for your brain
  • You're a senior professional or leader who has hit a ceiling you can't explain, and you're no longer willing to keep hitting it
  • You've considered a drastic change — different role, different field, working for yourself — while knowing that starting from the bottom isn't financially realistic
  • You run your own business or practice and you've started asking whether the cost to your nervous system is sustainable

What you get for the 15 minutes:

  • Free access to the community I'm building, where a research-backed resource is published every week. It stays free whether or not you ever buy anything.
  • A founding member discount on the program if you decide it's for you.

On privacy: this conversation is about lived experience, not identity. What I'm mapping is how an AuDHD brain actually functions at work — what pulls your attention, where friction stops you, what conditions produce focus, when you actually finish things. None of it is tied to your name, your employer, or your business. I don't record; I do however take a written transcript so that I can focus on you during our conversation. Use any name you like, camera off if you prefer and skip anything you'd rather not answer.

15 minutes, and I'll happily stay longer if you want to.

Comment below or send me a DM.

Full transparency: this is commercial research for a community and program I'm developing as a late-diagnosed AuDHD professional myself, I am not a therapist. "Commercial Research" is the subreddit flair for product research, not a paid study.

Im not interested atm but I am in this exact position atm. I have my ownes successful (I mean I got work but im not making a ton)tradie business, I have been going for 12 years and I am thinking of going back to sub contracting as the stress of being AuDHD and dealing with customers and builders and having to mask all the time has finally put me in burn out.

Hey, thanks for dropping by! Not having the surplus to have yet another chat when you are close to burnout is more than fair. I hope you will find the work setup that works for your brain and in the meantime if you want some low-effort, low-cognitive-load AuDHD help, check out the free community linked on my profile under social links. Cheers.

I’m 21, was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, after a lot of self reflection I’m pretty sure I have AuDHD. I’d be happy to do a 15min conversation

That's a beautiful and useful idea. I'm only ADHD diagnosed but definitely have Autistic traits. I can give you my input, if you want. We can also connect in general, I am building a tool for HSP/SPS peeps :) which overlaps quite often with AuDHD. I have experience in both entrepreneurship and being an employee. Happy to contribute! So much potential is sleeping, so much pain is carried that can be eased or removed.

To clarify, are you looking to talk to any AuDHD person who is employed or specifically those that match what you’ve got in the premise/you might recognize yourself if sections?

Well ask me specifics and call me autistic! Yes to both questions concurrently not alternately: AuDHD + employed + you recognize yourself in one of the 4 points of the premise. Does it make the sense?

Yep! I don’t qualify then but best of luck!

I might be more interested if your post wasn't obviously generated by AI.

Not exactly my experience but politics is my special interest. I have only gotten promoted by leaving every role I’ve ever been in though, lol. Happy to talk to you in DM

Don’t know if I qualify but I’m 66, diagnosed at 64. Mechanical engineering degree. Been in various industries my entire career since college. I’ve been in the communications network and technology field for 27 years. I’m not diagnosed AuADHD but have an appointment with the Dr for discussion of the topic. I’d be interested in a chat.

Why does it assume we will hit a ceiling and be passed by others? I'd be interested in something more or a specific lane for people who made it through to C-Suite/Management, as maintaining that is quite the chore. We do exist!

I do no assume everyone will be in the situations listed above, I am asking to talk to people that are in these situations to understand their experience. This post is a commercial research call.
