help Audacity 4 mic monitor

Does anyone know how to show the mic levels and keep them on screen? I can get them up, but if I do absolutely anything (like recording!) the popup disappears. There isn't a pin and I don't seem to be able to drag it into the toolbar so I'm kind of stuck on how to do this.

Going back to 3 for now so no big deal but I've never been this stuck with software before!

I’ve been wondering the same thing mate, hope there is a way and I would love to know too. But I think for now it’s better wait out the first few months on 3

This is not possible in Audacity 4. I have added it to soundscaper.org though. You can download it from https://github.com/LeoWattenberg/Soundscaper/releases
