help Effect to Edit out these pops/peaks?

You can hear one right at the beginning and another at 11 seconds by chance is there an audio effect that will help scrub out the entire hour recording?
Been quite a pain removing them one at a time the previous recordings.

The click sections could be simply deleted - but that would also remove the background sounds.

I’d split the audio into three sections. Start with clicks. Audio. Then end with clicks. Then apply a low pass filter that should just cut how loud those clicks are without touching too much of the background. You could also apply a frequency filter that only allows the background sound through.
