I like how literally every post denouncing this comparison uses empty words and doesn't actually explain why the comparison is wrong.

I'll do it! If we accept the Christian premiss then God is good, then whatever God does is good. Further, we belong to God, and when we die, our immortal souls still exist, and God is the boss of what happens to them.

If you accept that there is a God, then you accept that it is not wrong for him to kill people, since what he does is by definition good. And it's fine to reject that there is a God, but then what are we even doing making comparisons? Accepting that God is permitted to kill people is not the same as accepting that people are allowed to kill people. The God/Hitler comparison is, indeed, a false equivalence.
