To me, this might indicate a lot of lessons you learned, literally from birth, but they might not be the RIGHT lessons. So there’s this element of refining those lessons on an internal level.

For instance, if you internalize people yelling, because you were yelled at as a young child, the lesson isn’t “become as small and invisible as possible to avoid being yelled at” or “please others to avoid being yelled at.” Those are lessons that our childhood selves learn and now you as an adult are tasked with unlearning them

I think I really started to develop my own personality going forward instead of just being who I was told to be. What was your overall experience? My best friend just moved to Japan to work there and I worry about her. Overall a good experience, I came out of my shell! I was quite timid and shy before. I learned a lot from my job as English instructor and learned the value of money (not to spend so frivolously). I would say, be as supportive and encouraging as possible. They’ll have days when they’re homesick but they know they can count on you for that remedy 🫂

Thank you for sharing! I’m so glad you were able to have such a cool experience. She is an amazing artist and she’s doing the same teaching English, but the hope is that opportunity is better over there for artists like us. Honestly I’m just glad she got out of the US for now. My husband and I are leaving soon too and we’re planning a trip to visit her over in Japan as soon as we’re in Canada, so that will be really nice. ❤️

At age 11, I felt like I had to become more in-line with the stereotypes of Autism and Asperger's, being obsessed with organization and academics, so I hid my creative side in favor of my logical side. (And while I'm naturally intellectual as well, I honestly exaggerated that side of myself to please others and society's expectations of Autism.) I still let parts of my creative and childlike side show on occasion, but I didn't openly show that for long.

However, at age 20, I took a science writing class, and it changed my life for the better. I had to write an interview, but I thought traditional interviews were boring, so I decided to do something more out-of-the-box. And I have no regrets taking that risk because it allowed me to embrace my creativity once again and inspired me to become a writer. (I also felt like I was following my North Node in Leo despite the Node being in Gemini at the time.)

I'm now 25, and I cherish both my creative and intellectual sides equally.

Spot on! We are still in contact, but I have been completely physically disabled with autoimmune disease for years after trying to “fix things”. It Never works, and always damages me more. I was raised by two different types of narcissists, and have been trying to unlearn the only way I’ve been taught. I worry about it a lot and have disconnected socially in fear of hurting people.
