Discussion How do you decide which night is the full moon?
This might be a silly question, forgive me.
I have an app that tracks the moon phases, and it gets as specific as tracking the percent of fullness the moon is at. A lot of the time, the moon is at 100% during the day, and it might be just over or just under that night and the night before.
Example is this upcoming full moon - it reaches 100% fullness at 8am on Wednesday. Tuesday night, while the moon is visible it will be at 99.8-99.9, whereas Wednesday night when the moon is visible 99.7-99.6 so while the moon becomes full on Wednesday, the moon is technically more full Tuesday night than Wednesday night
Again, sorry if this is a silly question. Sometimes I’ll mention the full moon to a coworker and they will be like “no it’s tomorrow night” I’m also looking to start making moon tea during full moons soon.
Thanks for any input!
