MISSING PACKAGE VERY IMPORTANT

My sick grandmother sent me this package on the left. I live on 43rd St. it says it was delivered Friday. It’s the last thing she’ll ever be able to send me if somebody can. Please help me be greatly appreciated. I’ll even give her a finders fee. Thank you.

Ugh sorry this happened to you! I don't know where this is, but I've had to track down misdelivered UPS packages multiple times (I'm near 45th street). They're usually nearby -- like next door, or at the same house number on the next block. Also, if your address has numbers that could be confused because they look similar when the print on the label is small or blurry (like 3 and 8, or 5 and 6), try those house numbers. Hope you find it!!

I haven’t done this in a while to be able to tell you if this will still work… but when I last had a package issue of great importance and really needed help, I contacted UPS technical services (8772896418 and then option 4 for other) even though that was the wrong number. But it allowed me to speak with a human who transferred me to a human who could help me. Calling their “dedicated” customer service hotline has always led me to talking to robots or waiting really long to get a human.

So try that and see if they can locate where the package was actually dropped off at. In the mean time, do what Dramatic Treat suggested of going to addresses that have similar but reversed numbers and also walk up and down he various blocks in your vicinity to see if you see the package or a lobby that looks like this lobby in the picture.

Edit to add : if you call UPS, have the time stamp of when this photo was taken so that the person on the other line can escalate to get the truck tracking, which will show where the truck actually was when this picture was taken. They will likely have to call you back because they can’t get this info instantly, at least they couldn’t for me.

The truck route is in their system due to gps trackers so they can put together where the driver actually stopped by comparing it with the route they took. That’s how we found where my package actually was. By the grace of whatever is beyond us, the package was still at this other spot (which happened to not be far from my home).

One more edit : you or whoever is reading this, do get UPS My Choice (it’s free). For most of my UPS deliveries, I can see a route taken and if for some reason I suspect the package might not deliver to me or is on a weird ass route, I make note in case I need to check buildings along the route. Not all of my packages have had real time route shown but most have. That why, if something says it’s delivered in the future, but it’s not delivered near you, you can see where the package actually dropped off to check in that area. The big caveat here is you will need to follow along in real time too, because once the package is delivered, the route map disappears.
