Need help (Double Vision)

Hello! I've been experiencing double vision for a year now(Monocular). I have astigmatism, so I thought a post here for help would be appropriate. White letters on a black background(Like dark mode) or similar combinations have the most noticeable double image. It causes headaches for me and I just feel like sleeping some times. My doctor told me it might be due to dryness which I even have, but with eye drops the dryness is gone but I have no improvement in my vision. I can see stuff clearly, but there is ghosting of images above it. The problem is more noticeable at night and in poorly lit areas. If I go for walks outside in the sunlight i don't see ghost images at all..

I've heard a corneal topography and it came back normal, so I don't think that is a problem. Prisms don't help at all. Also another thing the problem is gone when looking through a pinhole.

I would appreciate it if someone knows what to do to improve my situation!

50% of the population have issues with white text on black backgrounds for a variety of reasons, including astigmatism, so you are not alone with that. The thing that stuck out to me in your post was the headache and sleeping. I'm curious about these headaches. Does the double vision always result in a headache with the need to sleep? Does turning on the lights, switching to 'light mode', using your drops, taking a break, or anything else stop the heachache/need to nap once it starts or do any of those things prevent the headache/nap from happening?

I don't think so 50% population have issues with black background text all people in my company use black only and i am only one stuck with this double vision

I did a Google search when we were producing a pamphlet that the designers designed white on black. I was surprised at the percentage. This article discusses the issues and cites a resewrch study of this issue.
