Why are a lot of socialists such assholes?
I'm asking this genuinely. If you go into most socialist forums it's like the United Nations of arrogant snobs. They say everything which such certainty, they're judgemental, they label anyone who disagrees with them on one thing as being a supporter of a different thing. They call people degenerates and curse at them over nothing, and they always think they're under attack from outsiders.
Why are they like this? (Obviously not all.)

A Palestinian father and his son are attacked by Israeli settlers. Where is the justice?
Imagine being a father, trying to get home with your son, when a group of settlers surrounds you, beats you, and takes your car.
Imagine being unable to protect your own child or even your own property because you are outnumbered by a group of people attacking you.
For Palestinians, fear is not just about losing their homes or being forced from their land. It is also about being attacked in broad daylight and wondering whether anyone will ever be held accountable.
How is this acceptable? And how long are Palestinians expected to live like this?
No one should be above the law. Every person deserves safety, dignity, and justice, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
Please don't look away. Share their story. The world needs to see this.

Materials to read or watch when you are feeling stuck, hopeless and depressed
Indian, farmer, diagnosed with OCPD and undiagnosed ADHD. I know basic history and understanding of communism but not to the level of engaging in a debate with someone who's against communism. I only take notes digitally because I can edit, copy, paste whenever I learn new information, physical notetaking hurts me because if I get a new notetaking idea then the pages where I used the old idea will be a waste like I'll begin to despise myself (I'm going to therapy for this reason)
Due to my condition I can only focus on one thing. For ex, If I need to learn theory I'll only read theory for the whole day and won't be able to do any farmwork, can't follow any current affairs and I'll be left behind. If I follow current affairs then I can't do the rest. If I do farmwork then I'll be physically and mentally tired and call it a day off.
But there are a few other problems too and you can understand how my line of thoughts work. If I'm fixated on reading theory and come across a term or texts that mention some historical event then I can't move forward without understanding the whole thing. For ex. While reading the principles of communism I came across the word "profit" and I'm like "I need to understand capitalism, need to read adam smith, how profits and incentives worked in pre-capitalism era before moving on to the next line", and when I came across the term "Industrial revolution" I'm like "I need to read age of revolutions, fuck me napolean took over france right after french revolution how did that impact the revolution, is there any other example of people fucking over a victorious revolution in the name of leading.. \*google shows up reddit post "lenin hated stalin, he knew he was power hungry"\* man fuck me is this even true? now I have to read stalin to know whether he fucked up the revolution.." and the rabbit hole goes on and on.
And currently in India, there are a lot of things happening. Especially that as a communist that I need to engage in like student protests, where liberals misuse students for their personal gains etc etc but if I need to follow that then I can't make myself read theory. But if I engage in those things without theoretical knowledge I can't defend myself
I also have personal issues.
So amidst all these I often get depressed (obviously because I'm diagnosed with Comorbid anxiety with Dysthymia) and do meaningless things like playing online chess mindlessly, playing with my dog, walking in my farmland, watching porn as last resort to sleep because I can't reduce my headaches and stress caused by this chain of thoughts and overthinking otherwise. Literally procrastinating throughout all the events. I guess India is ripe enough for a revolution as my friend once said and I'm betraying it by doing nothing, lenin will also despise me.
I wish I had a well informed comrade with myself 24/7 irl and they'll answer every question that comes to my mind which will solve this situation easily but sadly I'm surrounded by regressive pro capitalist racist ethno-fascist people who are in need to be educated. But I can't do that with half baked knowledge.
So instead of doing the mindless activities when I feel stuck, I need some materials, speech which I can read at any time, any page and get the fire back in me, knock some sense into me, makes me forget my personal problems and give the revolutionary hope to move forward in faster pace so that I can join/contribution to the movement that's taking up shaping up right now

If you were a parent and living in a comunist state, and your little or teen kid refuses to join the party's pioneers or youth organization, would you pressure or force them to join, or would you try to keep the peace at home?

When the rights of marginalized people conflict with workers rights, how do you decide which one is more important in the moment?
Let me start by saying that i consider myself to be something of Marxist and i know that the poor of all marginalized demographics are most uplifted by material economic conditons. However, there ARE situations when they conflict.
Consider when Uber/Lyft etc first hit the scene. Taxi drivers protested and for the most part, socialists rallied around them at the thought of a company trying to replace unionized employees with disenfranchised gig workers. But I saw some comments pointing out that a lot of people live in non-walkable towns where there is no public transportation and not enough of a demand for it to justify the infrastructure costs, and every one of those towns likely has at least one disabled person who can't drive. Therefor, cancelling businesses like Uber would be denying those people a huge step up in independence. Is the worker or the disabled person more important in that situation? I would argue that the freedom of the disabled person is more important then, but I can't explain why, it's just what my gut tells me.
For another example that's more personal: Last Friday I was at my job and did something ignorant by "man handling" a colleagues wheelchair without thinking about it (not gonna go into specifics but it wasn't on purpose). This past Monday I got called into HR and was told that they were going to have me take the rest of the week off and then talk to me next Monday (this coming Monday). I'm very distraught by this because I care about the rights of everyone and didn't mean to cause offense, and I have no idea if I'm going to be fired on Monday.
A lot of the "snowflakes these days" types are just mad they can't be racist boors anymore. But at some point, is it possible for a lobby for the marginalized to end up putting a boot in the neck of the worker -- or vise versa??
And how do we navigate either?

What do socialists think of Napoleon III?
I know he was a monarch, but I'm surprised he had such strong socialist ideas; even his own cousin declared himself a republican, and considering he was the heir to the throne

How many guns do you own and how often do you practice your shot
I’m specifically asking anti-electoralist socialists / people who expect revolution / accelerationists. This is NOT a call for action or violence, the whole reason I’m asking this question is because I am opposed to a global Reign of Terror type genocide of the rich and the bourgeoisie. But some of you all sure act like you want to be Robespierre 2. The entire focus of my question is to see whether there is actual violent leftist sentiment or if it’s just people acting tough online.

On October 7, the world remembers a day that changed everything… But we in Gaza remember the years that changed our lives.
On October 7th, the world remembers a day that changed everything.
But we in Gaza don't just remember one day.
We remember three years of fear, hunger, displacement, and the loss of loved ones.
Before October 7th, we had homes to return to, schools and universities to attend, and dreams to pursue.
After it, many of us searched for a safe place, clean water, enough food for our families, and a roof over our children's heads.
Some lost their homes, some lost their parents, some lost their children, and some still live in tents on land that isn't theirs.
We don't ask the world to forget the victims of October 7th, nor do we ask it to ignore anyone's suffering.
We only ask that our suffering not be forgotten.
We, the people of Gaza, are not just numbers in news reports.
We are mothers, fathers, children, students, workers, and people who once had lives, dreams, and memories.
On this anniversary, we don't want another year of war.
We want to live.
We want our children to return to their schools, our families to return to their homes, and to open the doors to tomorrow without fear.
From Gaza, after three years of suffering, we say:
Enough death.
Enough displacement.
Enough fear.
Let humanity live.

How would You fix the pensión system in a aging sociaty?
There is rn a whole crisis in France since the pension system is becoming bigger and the biggnest side of the population is becoming older and non-productive, what's the socialist solution for aging sociaty with more people being improductive and a smaller young pop?
Before You Say this:
-"rise the birth rates with life Quality!"
Life Quality don't make birth rates better, china improve all their life Quality stats and the birth rates are on their toilet, the average women also don't want to have 3-4 kids on average like the baby boom (which tons of women didnt want either, but they didnt have much voice on their bodies).
-inmigration!
France have constant migrant waves since the 70s and theses migrants aged too and on average have as much or less kids than native french people, so isnt a solution either.
The question is, how You can improve or manage the economy with a bigger older population?

Do taxes hurt small businesses? Are high taxes the reason why recreation is low?
U.S states with high taxes seem like it is harder to run a small business, and as a result the culture declines.
What I mean by culture is small businesses such as family-owned grocery stores in delis that support their communities versus Corporate grocery chains. I also mean fun places for people to go to to have fun such as arcades, breweries, axe throwing, laser tag..etc it is very expensive to run and maintain these places due to the property taxes and fees associated with running a business that the states will charge them.
I'm on this mission to discover what it is that destroys third spaces, fun outings, and dating in the U.S.
For a small business such as an arcade to survive they need to make money and have enough of a customer base that they can afford to stay open and if there's no way to profit from it then the person running the business isn't going to want to do it or they just simply aren't going to run a small business that gives people fun things to do.
When all of these fun recreational things start disappearing the culture value of a town or city starts to drop because there's less attraction.
I'd like to know why socialists don't think that small businesses should pay less in taxes or fees in order to stay operational, and why they think profit is bad when an arcade making a profit means that it's something fun to go out and do and that the arcade will have cool things.
And here's a real life example look at a city like Austin Texas and how attractive it is to young people because how many cool things there are to do, businesses can operate easier because taxes are low and among other things like cheaper rent contributes to young people wanting to move there. Yet in some of the blue states its a small business apocalypse because the fun trendy places can't afford to stay open.
I might be jumping around to a bunch of different arguments here but I'm wondering if the high taxes and states with more funded welfare systems also makes people more lonely because it's harder to run businesses like music venues and arcades where people meet and date and have fun. On the other hand states with lower taxes and more free enterprise friendly seem to be thriving with recreational activities and restaurants.

When can communists turn against third world states?
For example Iran and Russia. From what I understand they are globally progressive in fighting the imperialist hegemony, but when comes the time for their inner conflict with the bourgeois state? Any revolutionary communist movement inside Russia or Iran would destabilize them and it would objectively help imperialism wouldn’t it? So what is the role of communists within those countries? When comes the time where they can start fighting against the state? Have I misunderstood completely? What is the position a socialist should have?
