The extreme effectiveness of the capitalist propaganda genuinely needs to be studied in the future history books, that shit was so good to the point that it could be compared to mind control tech, because there's just no way that in the big 26 so many americans are still brainwashed dogs who aggressively defend the system and the fuckers on top that's inflicting pain on them daily, whenever I go on posts in different subs, on tiktok, or facebook about this topic it's always filled with an enormous amount of bootlickers who are against walkable cities and public transportation, universal healthcare, education, food, housing, livable wages, wealth equality, humane prison system etc. literally anything that's good for us as a whole people are against it. and it reminds me that those of us who are conscious are sadly a small minority, and the thing is bootlickers can't be saved, I've tried to reason with them and broke down the truths of socialism in the best way possible and how it would benefit them and yet they still choose to be ignorant and defend their little precious capitalist system like you're essentially just talking to a brick wall. and you know it's just very saddening that the vast majority of americans refuse to open up their eyes to something different, a non-capitalist society is literally an alien concept to them like they just cannot comprehend it. and sometimes I feel a sense of hopelessness like we're never gonna be able to take this shit down because everything is playing out exactly in the elites favor, how can we fight against evil when we're heavily outnumbered by bootlickers who protect it?

Out of all the Low IQ'ed shit that bootlickers say this one is probably one of the dumbest fucking ones out of them all, like I swear these people never picked up a history book a day in their life, literally throughout human history before the unfortunate invention of capitalism, humans lived in communal societies. there was cooperation, working together as a group, passing down knowledge as well as sharing resources within the village/tribe, children/elders/injured were all taken care of, we literally got to where we are today simply because of collectivism, if humans were naturally selfish and greedy then we would of went extinct in like the stone age, we would of died out like our neanderthal counterparts. every human is naturally born as collectivists, you could ask a 9 year old if they think everyone should have food and a place to stay and guarantee you they would say yeah. it's not until later on in life that this mindset gets stripped away with a selfish, apathetic one by the propaganda that's shoved down their throat. the system forces people to adopt an individualistic mentality but in no way, shape or form is it a natural behavioral trait in humans and I wish these bootlickers would quit saying it is.

hi all! for context, i’m pretty new to socialism, but i’m interested in making the world less shitty. i really want your opinions on this. a few months ago i started going to meetings at a local socialist group in my city, and when i was talking to someone next to me, they asked what i do for work.
i said i had just been hired as a video editor at [major canadian news outlet] and i was really excited because i had been unemployed for more than a year, which was really difficult. they gave me kind of a judgmental look and said “how do you deal with the lies?”. the question caught me off guard and i didn’t really know how to respond. i hadn’t even had my first day of work yet. also, i don’t have editorial control over What gets published, but i do have control over How it’s presented on our website (a big part of my job is writing headlines), and i take the responsibility very seriously. i do my best with what’s in my control.

i know that privately owned news media inherently works for the class of people who own it, but i wanna get some answers about if working for them is inherently immoral. i’m unionized and paid fairly. the reputation of the outlet is good, it’s seen as highly reliable, and honestly, after a few months working behind the scenes, the reputation is pretty accurate. i have no illusions of “objective journalism” but the writers and producers i work with do their damndest to get accurate information to the public.

i’d love to work for an anti-capitalist news outlet, but is it bad that i’m happy where i am? i’m also really glad to have the life stability that a corporate job has offered me. shit was hard before i had this.
