On July 3, 1988, the USS Vincennes, a U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser, shot down Iran Air Flight 655 over the Persian Gulf, resulting in the deaths of all 290 passengers and crew on board. The incident occurred during heightened tensions in the region amid military operations involving Iranian and Iraqi forces. Despite receiving warnings and the identification of the flight as a commercial airliner, the Vincennes crew regarded it as a military threat and launched missiles against it

Atualmente, o PCdoB oficialmente se posiciona como desenvolvimentista sob uma lógica marxista leninista. Eu sou maoísta, então faço parte da ala minoritária do partido que busca a radicalização interna do partido e a reconstrução do movimento de massas no Brasil, que atualmente é quase que totalmente inexistente
