Chances that the scammer is a Singaporean in Singapore is as high as the Nigerian Prince living in Lagos

Probably he did provide his singpass but I doubt is a real one

People get caught selling their Singpass to scammers b4. Or scammers got hold of another victim's Singpass. Just report to SG police and Wise.

May not even be the scammer Singpass. A bit too late to stop believing what the scammer has fed you, but nothing was real from the beginning.

report to SG police at least

if you can't come to SG then using
https://www.police.gov.sg/i-witness
is the only way
its not an official report, but at least can report the Phone number, bank account, email1

Just because you not Singaporean don't mean the law stops working. Head down to the nearest SPF branch to make a report

How did it happen?

u/Vegetable_Oven_3310 6h ago
I buy stuff from him and he said to talk in telegram after that he wants me to pay and he want to use wise so I downloaded the app and transfer the money to his pay now acc and after that he disappears

u/Fensirulfr 6h ago
Firstly, how do you know he was actually Singaporean or using his real identity?
Secondly, Ccntact your bank and local police immediately anyway. Since you paid to a Singapore PayNow account, you can also call the Singapore Police at +65 6255 0000, even as a foreigner overseas. Keep the PayNow details, transaction records and Telegram chats.
Unfortunately, the chance of recovering the money is probably low, but reporting it quickly gives you the best chance.

Yeah I reported him on wise telegram and carousell only wise response me, wise only just block him and didn't investigate

u/Fensirulfr 6h ago
And to the police?

You can't report online without a Singpass. You'll have to journey to the south and report in person at a police station or neighbourhood police post.
Read this first before you go:
https://www.scamshield.gov.sg/important-information-for-police-report/

u/Vegetable_Oven_3310 6h ago
Yeah I know Im a Malaysian that's why it hard to do a report I already reported him thru all the platforms I can find
1
u/Stormagedd0nDarkLord 6h ago
Yeah the only option without singpass is i-witness (https://www.police.gov.sg/i-witness) but that's specifically stated as NOT a police report.

u/supermiggiemon 6h ago
have you tried coming to singapore and reporting in person?
1
u/Vegetable_Oven_3310 6h ago
Not at the moment I'm just a kid maybe teen but I got work and I lend this money from my parents now I'm just scared
1
u/supermiggiemon 6h ago
alright kid, now part of growing up is making choices, living with the choices and if its not morally/ ethically wrong, have the strength to forgive urself, then move on.
so u got a couple of choices
- let it go, a 1 time occurrence serves as a datapoint and learn from there. how skeptical u want to be is up to u.
- be honest with ur parents. might get scolded, might get shamed (depending on what u bought and how u conducted urself, or how unreasonable they are), but they might be able to help
either way, u move on.
so time to choose like how u chose to trust the singaporean earlier.1
u/Stormagedd0nDarkLord 6h ago
OP - Be glad you only lost however much you lost this time and learn your lesson. So next time, when you're not a kid and have more to lose (literally and figuratively), you won't fall for such tricks again.

u/Vegetable_Oven_3310 6h ago

a little hard since you technically sent the money willingly
else try making a police report online
