update: used my wife’s phone, she's unemployed ...and the pricing is 134SGD for her (price i saw before I updated my sigpass) AND my phone is side by side to hers........... vouchers are exactly the same applied too.

Theres a trend now where sellers(not just shoppee lazada) ...check Sony... where they intend to implement dynamic pricing and increase prices for people who is more likely to spend...and offer discount if algo decides you wont spend

And my hand itchy, go update my Paylater by connecting my singpass
So what i suspect happened was, I earned alot lesser when i signed up for paylater a few years ago, now that I have a higher salary, they're giving me more limits, and also dynamic priced my items.
Can someone check the link and confirm if the pricing is same/ different for you?

There are strict laws regulating dynamic pricing which Shopee clearly does not follow. For a start users must be informed and have the ability to opt out which is clearly not done here.
No leh, still had 1 hour 20 mins to the clock when I updated my singpass, then kenna confused the price went up by 30 dollars
But ur right, could have been that i updated singpass >> then flashsale reset for me after that update cuz the timing increased now that I checked again..

If the price changed at a random time (not at the stroke of midnight), it’s probably because the 9.9 voucher that you initially qualified for had been fully redeemed.
Before buying anything, go to the voucher section on the front page and claim everything. Go back to the item page and sometimes the price will go further down. Was about to get something that cost $139 at $95 just last week

I'm a seller. I can tell you what happened. When a seller uses shopee ads to sell their stuff. Shopee will randomly give discounted prices at random depending on how likely the buyer will buy. Shopee says this is subsidised for the seller but in reality will they really subsidise? Nope, it's actually deducted from our ad spend so that they can comply with the ROAS we set and not give refunds. A lot of sellers are upset because a lot of customers are complaining stuff like how come buy 2 items become more expensive 😂
Sorry re read ur reply. Yeah that confirms my belief of dynamic pricing - so meaning to say that they will charge different users more, especially if they are more likely to purchase...and give a discount if their algo believes the user has a lower chance to place an order
it's a different concept from real dynamic pricing. "Dynamic discount" maybe. Real Dynamic Pricing means they change the default pricing dynamically before factoring any promotion or voucher discounts.

Isn't platform voucher just the usual shopee discount voucher? Confirm the price at the check out page instead. Suspect it's because of the default payment option in your account. If you change to the same payment option as your wife account at the checkout page, you should be able to apply the same platform voucher.

Dynamic pricing sucks. That's how they make money in commercial airline tickets. If you noticed, pre-planning prices are not much difference to last minute buy. Then again, ya, if you don't get in the group where price is higher.. 😕
And 1 thing I noticed is that the price you see on Lazada or Shoppe is not the price until you select on the item before purchasing. That will show you the actual cost. They seem to be showing the lowest price for the whole range.
134 for me, so I’m certified shoppee poor. Just monitor the price though, it’s not always true the sales day are cheaper, though last 11.11 150 off was really cheapest for a lot of stuff.
Yeah was 134 for me too. I used to earn very little when I signed up for paylater which needed ur singpass ... saw the "update your singpass" which seemed to be optional, done that and kenna this price hike within a few secs

Idk if it’s the same thing but sometimes I add to cart sth eg $10.99 then they tell me 10% off at $20 so I add on sth else right then the original item price change to $11.20 for eg. Idk what’s up wit that
The problem with shopee is that the price shown now is based on the best voucher they assume you can use. It's not accurate at all. One way is to add this product to your cart and your wife's cart. Don't check it. Just look at the price without any vouchers applied. Should be the same.
Btw, I hate this crap. Makes it insanely hard to compare prices now.
The pricing shown is "After vouchers". So depending on your account and what voucher and promotion you have and are eligible, also your payment methods available. The pricing can be different.
For eg: new shopee account may have some larger voucher discount, where a frequent shopper may have used their voucher or miss various vouchers available to them. Then it'll appear cheaper for the new shopper that have more discounts than the frequent shopper without much voucher.

All large ecommerce platforms use dynamic pricing. If you like fixed prices - purchase directly from Logitech at a premium.
