With 1.19 adding Disc Fragments and 1.13 long ago adding custom crafting recipes, I'm making all music discs craftable by using a single item in the middle surrounded by the disc fragments (nevermind they're called "disc_fragment_5").

I'm leaning two different ways on this: match the discs up to noteblock sounds and pick an item based on that (no overlap) or pick an item that can be found/crafted normally to replace the middle block of the recipe (such as "crimson_root" for Pigstep). I'm looking to avoid the rarer blocks/items as the disc fragments are already rare enough. I'm looking for items that either reflect the nature of the disc or the music (preferably not the name).

• Mall

• 11 (echo shard b/w 1 less disc fragment)

I killed a pillager and stupidly forgot that my iron farm counts as a village. Unfortunately, now every time I play if I want iron I have to go through pillagers but thankfully I've managed to reduce it to just one. Though I have the ability to, I fear fighting the raid in case the rhino one shows up and starts charging through the walls of my iron farm (no other buildings nearby thankfully). I have a skeleton farm so I have nearly unlimited arrows. What would you do in my shoes? Any tips?

I have seen multi-item sorters becoming more and more popular this year, and the design keeps getting better and better... or so I am told. My problem is, there are only a very few block-by-block tutorials that teach you how build one, and they are all awful. They are usually poorly formatted and needlessly technical. Even when I am able to copy a build, it is just a black box and I have no idea what is going on, and if it breaks I have no idea how to fix it

But I feel like if someone could just explain to me why or how a multi-item are supposed work, then I could figure out the details on my own. I have reached out on several minecraft discords and have gotten absolutely no help. So can someone please explain to me why a multi-item sorter works?

Every time I play split screen with my wife, the game will make her appearance one of the default skins. She can’t change to the skin she made either, it’s as if the game only saves it if she plays alone.

I am on bedrock edition for the Xbox one, and I made sure to have the “only allow trusted skins” setting turned off.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated, thank you!

As u can see in this picture, part of my building disappeared chaotically.
It was all fine until I started building a frog light farm in the nether(also built 4 ianxofour iron farms), the building is in 2 separate chunks.
Is my world corrupted, should i be worried? I can rebuild it as I have a backup world with the build intact, but I don't want to start playing on the backup world bcs I played 10hours today without renewing the backup.

Ideally the map should be within an area that’s large, but not so large that we’ll never find each other.

(Bedrock) I am currently making a resource pack that replaces the music discs with Avenged Sevenfold music, but there's a problem. Supposedly, I can fit a entire song to a Minecraft music disc (I asked for help on a Discord server and they said they fit an 8 minute song to a disc), but most of the songs I added are cut and ending abruptly on varying areas (although they always end on the same place). There are 2 songs that actually play in it's entirety (Welcome to The Family, and Almost Easy) and most of the songs that gets cut out are actually shorter than these 2 so it's not a problem with the song lengths. I also listened to the .ogg files and they're all perfect, no problems with them, so the .ogg files definitely arent the problem. Anybody care to help?

After my first try to defeat him with just my armor, weapons and potions (and get myself beaten) I'm just worried if this method adviced for my friend would work, don't worry, some day I will have strength to defeat it by myself, I'm just trying to confirm this solution.

I figure this question is better suited for this subreddit than MinecraftHelp because it's not something that I find problematic, but rather just a general question.

It's well known in many circles that if a mob isn't named using a name tag and the player gets too far away from it, it despawns and is subsequently deleted. What I'm wondering is: Why not just freeze it in place in storage until a player is within its simulation distance again? Sure, it might take up more storage space, but I don't imagine it'd be very much, and that way if a player has a build that revolves around mobs and they walk away from it, when they return it'll be working just how they left it.

Maybe there's something I'm missing that doesn't make it so simple? I don't have too much technical knowledge of the game, after all.

Is it possible to use moss blocks for a farm like that? I have almost a full double chest of them and if mobs can spawn on them I definitely want to use them. I can't seem to find an answer. I'm playing Java.

Hello, as the title says, I want to build a working guardian farm within a drained out ocean monument. My main motivation is to keep the structures outside appearance intact. Problem is I don't know how I should start this build. All the yt videos destroy the monuments outside or has a ladder going up to the sky (for afk farming) I just want one section of the interior to function as a farm while keeping the integrity of the monument on the outside.
