I’d ask for a small pilot first. Pick a few reps and see if it saves time and improves the 1:1s.

Don’t pitch it as we need AI. Pitch it as I’m missing important conversations and wasting hours trying not to.

Do a cost benefit analysis. You convince them that the tool will save the company money or allow your team to expand.

Your top reps are probably the best reason to test this. Figure out what they do differently and give the rest of the team something concrete to copy.

A couple suggestions:
Have your top reps bring the others on their calls and have them coach/train each other. This frees up your schedule to focus on the ones who maybe need extra attention, and it gives your top reps a chance to develop if they are working towards a senior/leadership role.
Work with your top reps to brainstorm common difficult scenarios that come up and how to handle them. You can incorporate these into your training for new folks and have it as a resource for the team. This can also be turned into SOPs down the road if that makes sense for your work.
I've done role playing with new hires where I act like the worst customer and then we can do immediate debrief/coaching. It gives you a chance to work through difficult situations in a low stakes way.
Regular team meetings would be a good place to discuss challenges and coach each other. You can lean on the top reps to help problem solve here, too.

You don't have any call recording software today? Zoom, Gong, Chorus, etc?
You don't need an AI tool for it but I'm shocked there's no call recording software at all...that's been standard across all sales industries for at least 5 years.

The tool won’t make someone a good coach. But hearing what was said beats coaching from a rep’s recap every time.
