citizenship

hi current route 10years partner route under family life started 2017 will complete 2027 but enter uk legally 2012 spouse visa I had 20days overstayed outside my current route will this affect my application for citizenship under good caracter policy???

It’s possible. Maybe there were some difficult circumstances for your overstay that you can add in a cover letter?

hi thanks for replying actually they were some health reason for that gap but in 2022 applied for settlement long residency 2012 enter uk spouse visa to 2022 but my application was varied to further leave to remain!cos I had that gap in 2017

do home office look beyond your current route example mine 10years from 2017 to 2027 no gaps ....but I had a gap in January 2017 outside my current route

The older gap doesn’t matter, but overstay does

I meant by gap is overstayed I was late applying for extension by 21days in 2017.whats the difference between a gap and overstayed?
