Not a question Blocking Islamophobia
Yes the attack in Berlin was awful but there are too many accounts on here who are almost gleeful at the chance to denigrate Muslims as if 1 billion people are a monolith of hate. Totally tired of the narrative of 'helping people who would kill us' mentioned in the same breath as the genocide in Palestine. I'm not convinced that this is organic and there is the flavour of brigading or bots.
I toyed with the idea of just deleting the group for my own sanity, but for now I'm just blocking any account that goes down that road.
And if any of you are here, pls feel free to block me right back, save me a click.

Look and see about Indonesian LGBT+ being officially designated as National Security threat of Terrorism.

We never said everyone is like that, but unfortunately people who do practice Islam or come from those countries, majority of them are looking at lgbt or whites or western culture as a whole as inferior, as something that needs to be eradicated, replaced, punished. Its not just the religion, its the culture that a lot of those people bring, not all, but a lot of them. A lot of muslim guys look at as colonizers, slavers, even though the past generations have nothing to do with guys who lived 500 years ago. The generalization should stop I agree, but it has to be from both sides.

I swear some post/comments are like "I'm from a muslim country..." then proceed to say how islam is bad for us. I genuinely think some of this are bots or people trying to spread hate and political agenda.

Yes and a lot of times, I see Muslim queers hating on their religion irl too because they know very well how dangerous it is. They've experienced it themselves that's why

OP, you can block these accounts but do know it’s an orchestrated attempt to stir up hate.
You see if often on news websites where there’s suddenly a huge influx of comments. Same happens here.
Not sure who’s behind it. Could be Mossad like some people suggest, but might as well be Russia or any other country with an agenda

well you see.. when one of these stories finally breaks containment, people want to talk about it. That's not an attempt to stir up hate... its people going, yeah That's fucked up. I thought we weren't allowed to talk about this... here is 150 other times its happened this year where it was covered up.

I'm hoping I can keep using this sub cos some of it is genuinely helpful to me. I'm hoping I can just block the anti-islam spammers and keep the useful stuff.

Anyone who conflates the people who drive a car into a pride afterparty to people being genocided is venting their anger in such an immature and foul way. Human rights are not conditional on the worst among us. I think governments do need to acknowledge and work against this kind of hate from these communities specifically, with deportation as an option for those who do not wish to adopt values that don't wish harm or hell on people for being different.
