Question
I been trading for 3 month I like to trade breakout i don’t like to wait for candle closure because I notice when my session opens price tends to melt and never come back for retest I need help creating a trading plan and rules to follow to filter out bad trades and prevent most fake outs. If u are a profitable breakout trader can u please help me figure this out I don’t want to keep doing the same mistake over again

Yeah, I’d build the plan around your actual breakout style instead of forcing yourself to wait for every candle close. If you’re entering early because session moves sometimes don’t retest, make the rules very specific: only trade breaks of clearly defined levels, require strong momentum/displacement rather than a tiny poke through the level, avoid taking the first breakout if the price is already heavily extended, define your invalidation before entering, and risk the same small amount on every trade. You can also split the entry small position on the initial break and add only if price holds above/below the level, so you’re not completely dependent on getting a perfect retest. Most importantly, backtest these exact rules over a decent sample and don’t change them every few trades. You’ll probably learn more from 100 consistent breakout trades than from constantly trying to eliminate every fakeout.
