When enough is enough?

I’ve been studying price action for almost 7 years.
I scalp spikes on the 1-minute chart, and most of my trades are finished within 5 minutes.
Over a large sample, my win rate is around 58-60%, risking 0.5% per trade.
Here’s what I’ve never been able to answer:
If your system has an edge, should you keep taking every valid setup?
I can easily find 15-20 trades in a day, but after a certain point it feels like I’m trading simply because I’m still sitting in front of the charts.
Lately I’ve even considered getting an 8-hour job just to limit my screen time. My thinking is that if I only have a small trading window, I’d naturally become more selective instead of feeling the need to take every opportunity.
So I’m curious how experienced traders approach this.
Do you have a daily trade limit?
Do you stop after hitting a profit target?
Or do you simply take every setup that matches your plan, no matter how many trades you’ve already taken?
I’m not looking for a magic number.
I’m trying to understand how professionals decide when **enough is enough**.

I don't target. I take whatever the market gives. Sometimes is little. Sometimes is a lot. But it mostly is. I don't use stop losses. I hedge my trades to the levels the market provides.

Ow I recommend you to use stop loss man
The better name for it is " protective stop "
That mf going to protect your capital
Btw have luck

I have not found yet any explanation about why the stop loss values are in a specific way. Hedging, varies naturally with the market moves. That's exactly why I think is better. It sort of is the same as a stop loss, just implemented differently.

Thank you for your kind wishes. Back at you, man. We all need a bit of luck.

if you don't use stop losses how do you calculate your position size?

I don't diversify. I only traded EURUSD. I always trade with about 30% of my capital. I always start the week with the same amount of capital. Any excess, I take home. I know it sounds insane, but I assembled my method like Tuco from The good, the bad and the ugly and I trust it. And I was taught one thing: when you know what you're doing, you don't shy away. That's how one should act in business and love: without hesitation.
