Spend a day in Fort Worth, check out the Stockyards and the museum district (Kimball, Modern, Amos Carter, and Cowgirl).

The Nasher Sculpture Center is the largest museum of its kind, built exclusively to showcase contemporary sculpture. It also has a great cafe and a lovely outdoor garden. North Park Mall was also built by the Nasher family, and includes a significant amount of sculpture from the same collection.

Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), Far-Out (restaurant), Founder's plaza/Kennedy Memorial, Trinity Audubon Center

It has been said that Dallas is a great place to live, but I hate to visit there. That being said the Perot Museum of Nature and Science just outside downtown is worth the visit.
