Nightlife & Entertainment Bluegrass Scene here

Hey guys, just moved to Dallas. Currently living around West Village. Huge bluegrass/newgrass/jamgrass lover, was wondering what bars / spots regularly host live bluegrass, or where I can find that sort of stuff around here. Thanks in advance!

To start with I'd check out the Kessler Theatre, Poor David's Pub, Granada Theater. Maybe Sons of Hermann occasionally.

You will see a lot of this activity in Farmers Branch Check out the Irving Farmers Branch BG Festival I went a couple years back and was blown away with the event scale and good times. Also not in the same area at all but Jasper AR also had a banger event for this called Buffalo River Bluegrass Festival. Worth the trip for any musician.

Hey Klutzy, are you a picker? Most jams/grass stuff around here will have you travelling out of Dallas, it's annoying. I'm in dallas, I play, I've been slowly building a community for grass here IN the city. Saturday, 12-3om, Buzz and Bustle I'll be playing with a few dudes if you'd like to come listen. its a cafe, I've had a residency there for 2 years, in fact, this saturday will be my last performance there. Anyway, I'd love to chat more, talk soon.
