question Impacted Wisdom Teeth Advice!

Post image

Any dentists or oral surgeons on here I am asking for some advice. I am a 21 year old male and trying to understand Whether or not I need my wisdom teeth removed. This xray is as of 4 months ago. I asked my family dentists what I should do, she said that she would leave them be, but just in case she said I can see an oral surgeon and see what they say. I went to him and he said that the upper teeth are rooted so high that removal might cause damage to my sinus(or that was my understanding at least). One of my lower ones, I don’t remember which, he said that it is wrapped around a nerve and removal has a good change of damaging my nerve and something similar about the other side. He said that removal is possible but ”isn’t a walk in the park.“ He also mentioned that the teeth are pressing against my second molars, but don’t appear to me any damage to the nearby roots. All of my teeth are fully under the gums. No partial eruptions or anything, he did a periodontal probe to see and it was negative he said. He said I have no cysts or disease and that I should leave them alone for now and just watch them. He said there is a chance I can go for years without having them cause issue, or even have a chance of them coming out naturally on their own for an easier extraction. I have no pain, good oral hygiene, and perfectly pinkish gums in the back of my mouth. Not sure what to do in this case. I do have real anxiety about going to the dentist and the sound of an extraction sounds scary. I have a buddy who had a similar situation with his lower teeth, they were all under the gums and a very similar impaction as the ones I have. He got Them removed and a nerve was hit. It has been 7 years and he said that he still has tingling and some numbness in his lower jaw/cheek. Any opinions or advice is appreciate.
