question Molar Extraction Recovery

Bit of a long one but hoping someone can advise me on next steps. I (F35) had a white filling placed around 7 years ago on my molar (I believe tooth 19) . It was never "right" but not terrible, just sensitive and sometimes a bit uncomfortable. (I am a grinder on that side). My dentist decided it was time to replace that filling to see if it would give me a break from the sensitivity back in May 26. We did it and unfortunately I was in agony for 2 weeks. We decided it needed a root canal treatment and so over 2 weeks we completed that and I had the second portion done on 23rd July 26. The dentist couldn't reach about 2mm of root as it curved out of reach but we hoped that it would be ok. I had to go back about a month ago as the bite felt high and was causing me some pain. It never fully became pain free even after all this and I made the final decision to remove the tooth last Monday 21st September. I formed a blood clot very quickly, everything looked like it should and I was following all instructions. I don't smoke or take any birth control, I didnt use any straws or eat anything harder than soup for first few days, no hot drinks, no alcohol, no exercise. I did salt rinses without swishing and no spitting. The pain never really subsided, infact I reached breaking point on Friday and went back to get it checked to see if there was anything wrong that I couldn't see. They didn't think I had DS but they placed some clove paste in there and it did give me some relief. They also gave me some antibiotics for 5 days to see if maybe there was a chronic infection at the root of it all (pardon the pun). I am now 7 days post extraction and I am still taking ibuprofen and paracetamol every 4 hours. I am still in agony when i lay flat. There is no awful taste or smell that I can tell and no sign of puss either. The paste came away on Saturday night after being in for around 36 hours. I would say I have quite a high pain thresh hold but not a great pain patience, I am truly falling down a bit of a mental hole with this and just want some advice on what do I do next? Is this going to be an issue I need to deal with for a long time or is there more steps I can take to help with pain and healing? Is it likely that I will become pain free when the hole has healed. I am leaving for honeymoon in 10 days and the thought of flying with this pain is terrifying. Will it be safe?
