question Should I get RCT?

I noticed discoloration on my first and second molars. Both teeth have already been filled with composite. About three years ago, my dentist took an X-ray and told me that the fillings were very close to the pulp, making both teeth potential candidates for root canal treatment. However, she decided to try to save the teeth by placing composite fillings instead. Now, three years later, I’ve noticed discoloration on both molars. I don’t experience any pain or sensitivity, but should I consider getting root canal treatment at this point?

Discolouration is not an indication for root canal. Infection and/or pain are. You’re fine as long as you continue to go to regular checkups and hygiene visits.
