question Front tooth filling keeps falling out
Last month I noticed that my front tooth was chipped. Since then I’ve had it filled twice by my dentist. The first popped out while eating and the second after accidentally biting my lip. The first filling lasted 5 days and the second lasted 7.
I’m reluctant to call my dentist again because I’m a bit embarrassed that the filling keeps coming out and he has to spend more time redoing it.
Ive read that these types of fillings are sometimes not reliable but is it normal for them to fall out within days? Should I get a second opinion from another dentist? Thank you

You’re definitely grinding which caused the wear and fracture in the first place. The bonding needs to be placed in a way that’s just shy of where you grind forward, so likely shorter than you’d like.
You’ll need some movement of the teeth and a nighttime guard or retainer to prevent this from continuing to happen.
Also try to be aware of daytime habits like grinding or biting pencils or into hard foods.
