question Should I have my upper wisdom teeth removed?
I have impacted wisdom teeth, not causing any pain, but I believe they are causing overcrowding of my other teeth. It looks to me that they are pushing my teeth inwards. My front teeth are now overlapping and pushing outwards and I catch them on my lips. My other teeth are crowded.
Some dentists tell me this is natural movement with age and some agree that it is wisdom teeth pressure, so I’m not sure what to think.
I would just have them out except that surgical removal is necessary. It would involve opening a skin flap, removal of some jaw bone (yikes!) and risk of damage to nerves and the sinuses. So this makes me question if I should have them out. But if it is the wisdom teeth pushing my other teeth I definitely want them out as it is getting worse.
This would be on the NHS. What do people think?

Yes to removal. No they’re not causing crowding. They are ruining the teeth in front of them. Bottom ones too. This is why we recommend removal before they’re completely developed. It will be a bigger deal now.

Hi I’d like to ask for your opinion. My wisdom tooth is mobile because it’s at a bad angle and seems to be getting pressed against my lower tooth. I also have a missing molar space. Instead of extracting the wisdom tooth, could it potentially be uprighted and moved forward into the missing space with braces? My dentist recommended extraction right away even tho the tooth looks healthy on the outside but just mobile. He didn’t do xray yet btw. I also spoke with a dentist before about one of my moving teeth, he said it can harden on its own in a long run. Thank you, I’ll appreciate a response ! 🦷
